Made for animals.... why is it beneficial to us humans? Many scientists differ, and say do not eat them....

With specific regards to alfalfa and wheatgrass, these are both extremely nutrient-rich plants and are very beneficial to humans. It may surprise you to learn that in name alfalfa is Arabic for "father of all foods", and has been referred to as such due to the large concentration of minerals and vitamins. Some of the main vitamins present in the alfalfa plant are Vitamin A, Vitamin B1 (thiamine), Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (niacin), Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin K, Vitamin C as well as folic acid. Some of the main minerals present in the alfalfa plant are icopper, phosphorus, selenium, boron, chromium, sodium, potassium, zinc, and silicon.

Alfalfa is also a rich source of amino acids. While there are 14 amino acids in the alfalfa plant, 8 of them are essential to our health. The eight essential amino acids that are present in alfalfa are leucine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, threonine, isoleucine, methionine, valine, and lysine.

With regards to wheatgrass, this is an excellent source of chlorophyll, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Wheatgrass contains 98 of 102 earth elements found in soil, including phosphorus, calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium as well as essential enzymes and 19 amino acids.

Wheatgrass in it's whole form may not be appealing to some folks, as it has a similar taste to grass. However if you are able to look past this, and consume it in powder form, you can reap the amazing benefit this plant possesses. Wheatgrass is 70% chlorophyll which is essentially the blood of plants; and in humans, it reverses aging, suppresses hunger, cleanses the blood, and combats odor to name a few benefits.

I hope this information is helpful, Legerh. We are pretty excited about our greens product and the berry flavor is so delightful, you definitely won't taste the greens.
